Damla is a successful but homesick New Yorker, married to Kevin. Although six months pregnant, she doesn’t feel ready for motherhood. Devastated to discover that her cousin is selling their childhood home, Damla visits the hometown in Turkey with Kevin. Once there, Damla is drawn into reconciling with Burak, the best friend and first love she left abruptly eight years earlier, but Burak is aloof towards her. Nonetheless, Damla has to find a way to confront him with a secret she has kept for years before she can move on.

Esra Saydam | Boston Turkish Film FestivalEsra Saydam is a recent graduate of Columbia University's MFA Film Program. She has produced several award-winning short films, such as I am John Wayne. As a director, she helmed the short film, Fair Lawn. She was awarded the Hollywood Foreign Press Assocation Fellowship in 2009. After graduating, she produced The Happy Sad, a narrative drama directed by Rodney Evans. Her directorial feature debut, Things I Cannot Tell, had its national premiere at the Istanbul Film Festival. She continues to develop projects at her Istanbul-based production company, Karlakum Film.


Nisan Dag | Boston Turkish Film FestivalNisan Dağ is a filmmaker working between Istanbul and New York. She won Fulbright, MAEV and Columbia University Scholarships to study on the Columbia University Graduate Film Program. During her studies in New York, she directed short films and worked as a production designer. She interned at the Oscar Winning production company, Parts & Labor.
