Sebla Akbulut's interest in Turkish Classical Music lead her to put together a project called "Harp with Maqams”, including vocals and kemenches. The purpose of the project, which had its premiere in İzmir Ahmet Adnan Saygun Cultural Center, was to gain a different perspective for harp in Turkish Classical Music.
Sebla Akbulut took an active role in The Association for the Art of the Harp (Arp Sanati Dernegi) for two years, which lead her to vocalize a piece in the distinguished world-reknown harpist Ceren Necipoğlu's album. As a volunteer instructor in Community Volunteers, Sebla Akbulut also instructed to students who had inadequate economic conditions.
Since 2011, she continues her studies at The Boston Conservatory GDP – Harp Division with The Boston Ballet Principal harpist Cynthia Price-Glynn.
