SYNOPSIS

Isa Cayirli is one of the people who work in the mines in Zonguldak. For his job, he has left his hometown behind and came to Zonguldak so he could earn more than minimum wage. However, the conditions and the difficulties he is in make him worried for his future. With his words, “Here, it is the mine, not your mother’s lap”. That is to say, he knows very well that even a smallest mistake can cause him and friends to die.

Director CAN DIKER

Can Diker was born on August 25th, 1986 in İstanbul. He graduated from Vefa Anatolian High School and attended Department of Visual Communication Design of Istanbul Commerce University in 2004, graduated in 2008 as top of his class. During his university education, he won 4 first runner-up and 2 2nd runner-up awards from the competition called Young Communicators. He also won the “Best Istanbul Documentary” in the Marmara University Communication Faculty's 10th Short Film Competition. He took a part in Cannes Lion, considered to be one of the most reknown advertisement festivals in the world. He received a graduate certificate from Roger Hatchuel Academy in June 2007. He worked as a student adviser in his university while studying for his bachelor's degree. He’s now studying at Yeditepe University, Radio Television Cinema for his master's degree.
